The North American Distribution Marketing group comprises associates working in the areas of Business Marketing, Campaign Management, Media Relations, Creative & Customer Experience, Digital and Insights & Analytics. Operating in close partnership with Sales and Investment Services, marketing associates gather insights into our clients and competitors, develop strategies for positioning Capital Group in the marketplace, and communicate messages designed to share our point of view and position us as the brand of choice in the crowded and highly competitive investment management field.

We are seeking a talented Administrative/Executive Assistant to be based in our Downtown Los Angeles office who is motivated, team-oriented and committed to providing a superior level of support and service to three of Capital’s senior business leaders within our marketing group. Our Administrative Assistants are valued and respected for the significant contributions they make to our organization and to the managers they support.

To be successful in our assistant roles, these individuals exercise excellent judgment, have exceptional communication skills, demonstrate strong customer service and professionalism and are self-starters. They are strong problem-solvers and show initiative to work creatively, support their managers proactively and work within a team environment.


Examples of typical responsibilities would include:
• Coordinating and scheduling complex meetings and events involving participants in multiple locations, compiling meeting agendas, reserving meeting space and arranging all details
• Interacting with internal clients in person, via phone, and via email
• Creating and updating PowerPoint presentations and proofreading documents
• Making travel arrangements and creating expense reports
• Creating and updating reports utilizing various databases and Excel
• Various department specific projects


What would we like to see in your background?
• A minimum of 5 years of previous Administrative Assistant or Executive Assistant experience in a corporate environment
• Experience with electronic calendaring
• Experience supporting multiple senior leaders in a corporate environment
• Experience coordinating complex travel arrangements, both domestic and international
• A desire and demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and leverage opportunities for process improvements
• Ability to compile data and complex information into useful summaries and reports
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong grammatical and proofreading abilities as well as strong accuracy and attention to detail
• Experience working in a marketing department is preferred
